Worried about the bustle

Elgina, on November 29, 2019 at 1:51 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 11

Worried about the bustle 1 Hey y’all so this is my dress. It’s very full in the back but because I’m self conscious of my bum do you think it’s mandatory I get a bustle? I’m worried it’s just gonna add fullness and make it look worse... what are some if your ideas if you are already married or just about or have experience?

You will trip on your dress without some kind of bustle. Your dress has a lot of volume to the skirt, so any additional to your backside will clearly be from the bustle, not your bum. It’s a beautiful dress, and you don’t want to ruin it by stepping on it all night, or even worse falling on your face because you tripped. We all have bums, own the awesome one you have and enjoy wearing your dress!

I agree. Show off your back side lol. You don't want to deal with that all night or trip. Talk to a steamstress.

Personally, i hate bustles but i needed one otherwise the whole night would’ve been a bit more of a hassle for me without it.

Talk to your seamstress. I think you would regret not getting one

It is definitely not required or mandatory but I do think that you will get very tired of holding it up all night and you could also trip on it. Show off that butt for all us girls without one lol. Your dress is beautiful and it is already so full that a good bustle won't look crazy big in the back.

You can get a bustle that’s lower and not near your bum. Express your concerns to your seamstress and they’ll find the right solution. But For the dancing portion of your night, I really recommend a bustle.

You could ask about a French bustle. I believe they tuck it under the dress so it may not look as big and puffy.

I think if you tell your seamstress your concerns then she can work with you.

I’m planning to do a wrist strap for my train instead of a bustle. I absolutely hate the look of a bustle but I need something to get the train off the ground.
