Not really a discussion but who else is paying for their own wedding working crazy hours to pay it off in time? I've worked 56 hours this week and I work 28 this weekend to try and pay it all off in time lol who else is working like a horse to pull it off? 😂😂😂

Me too, girl! I've picked up more hours at work because the wedding isn't paying for itself

I wished that I could do this. I am salary, and usually work between 45 - 50 hrs a week. FH is hourly, and lately he has been getting more hours (just by chance, as the workload is heavy), and volunteering for every Saturday that is available for OT.

I feel you. I'm salaried but if I bill a certain number of hours I hit a bonus. I've been saying "yes" to everything at work and have worked nearly every weekend this year to make sure I get that bonus - it'll help us get some extras that we'd really like (guest transportation, more dessert, second photographer, more video time, maybe a photobooth, etc.). I think it will all be worth it in the end, but I'm exhausted! Haha

Oh yes. I'm salary with no over time ever but I've been working my butt off to get my end of year review. It worked but man is it exhausting.

I only get to work like that during tax season because I'm salary the rest of the year. But you bet I'll be putting in extra hours during next tax season!

September of last year i had accepted a second temporary job at my workplace because it would count as overtime, that overtime ideally pays for my half of the wedding. it was like a six month appointment and i gotta say - i was so over it ahah. it's like all this wedding planning already is so much time and energy on top of a full time job let alone doing extra hours!

My job doesn't allow for much OT, but I've put it out there that I'll take it if anyone has extra work. FH has started working Saturdays (all OT) every week to help with the wedding fund.

I'm on limited income but my SO started a new job and still works the other job part time. She works 14 hours a day half the time. We're trying to pay for a wedding, pay off all pre-wedding debt, and save for some very expensive family planning.
