Wording on Invitation

Tamie, on April 8, 2009 at 9:24 AM Posted in Planning 0 2

What is the correct wording on the invitation if you are getting married at half past the hour? Is it "one thirty o'clock in the afternoon" or "one-thirty in the afternoon"? Thank you.

It's your preference. I have seen it printd out such as Eleven Thirty in the morning, and I have seen it printed out as Half pass Eleven in the morning. You can also go to www.ask.com, they will address the issue as well.

    Congrats, and Best Wishes.

You can also say "half past one o'clock" with or without "in the afternoon" it is your preference. It is generally understood that with that time it is in the afternoon and not in the morning. Once again it is all your preference.
