Wording for optional wedding event

Jenny, on April 27, 2017 at 12:45 PM Posted in Planning 0 8

We are taking photos with our professional photographer before our sunset ceremony. Since our wedding is very small and there's no bridal party, I thought it would be nice to invite guests who are interested in getting their photos done to come as well (while it's still daylight). However, I know there are several guests (a bunch of the men), who would probably rather die so I'd like to add it as an event for those who are interested only but I don't know how to designate that it's optional.

Do I just put (optional) next to the event? Or is there a better way.

If it's small, I'd just spread it by word of mouth.

I guess I'm not sure what you are asking. Like, are you inviting people (women) to have their pictures taken with you, and then they wait around a few hours for the ceremony?

I say "optional pre wedding photis. If anyone would like to come prior and have pictures taken with the bride and groom you are more than welcome. "

@A.L. No. We are going to be taking photos at the venue from 5:00 to 6:30. We were thinking of having guests who were interested come join us if they want.

Did you check with your photographer on this idea? He may need the best lighting to get shots of you and your future husband. Or this might be a great time to have some alone time with your new hubby! Just a thought Smiley winking

You're probably right. How long do the photos usually take?

I don't have a good conception of "wedding time" - and how long to budget for things
