Wording for bachelorette party invitation insert?

Anna =), on August 27, 2015 at 9:08 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 6

Hosting a bachelorette party for a friend and need ideas on how to word the additional info insert that will go in the envelope with the invite. We are doing canvas painting in the afternoon then later that evening going to a piano bar. She is inviting around 50 people various ages. There will be some that only do the painting portion, others just doing dinner and bar, and some will do both. Not sure how to tell people they will need to bring $ for their own dinner and drinks. Also I have to give the number of people to the piano bar 1 1/2 weeks prior to the party so do you think its ok to have the rsvp date about 2 weeks before? How does this sound below?

Canvas Painting - BYOB

Cost $43

Piano Bar

Please arrive by 6:30 pm to take advantage of the free cover charge and reserved seating.

(Info regarding dinner & drink pricing HELP!)

I've never seen a bachelorette party this big with multiple stages before, so I'm no help ...

Bump for the other ladies on here!

So is everyone invited to both and they can choose to attend one or both events?

Correct. She assumes that her older coworkers and family members will do the painting portion. Most of her younger friends will do the piano bar. Some of them may do both especially ones coming from out of town. I know of at least 6 of us doing both parties as of right now.

Hmm, I don't know how to word it, but I've also always known and assumed that I'd pay for my own dinner and drinks at the Bachelorette Party. If they'll just order what they want (not a set menu or price for everyone) maybe say something like, "dinner and drinks available for purchase".

I think the way you have it set up is perfect - that's how we did it for my friend's Bach last year. Some of us came earlier for the Pedal Pub, some met up with us later for dinner, and some did both before we went to the hotel bar.
