Now that we finally had our engagement photos taken and ordered STDs, I'm working on our invitations. How do they look? Does anyone have any advice/suggestions for the wording on the RSVP/Information cards? Smiley smile

Thanks!

“Request the honor of your presence” is only used if you are getting married in a house of worship. If you aren’t getting married in a place of worship you would put “request the pleasure of your company”

I personally would not include the part about not guaranteeing a seat or food, but that's my preference

On the invitations themselves, you talk about yourselves in first and third person. "Together with their families Shannon & Tyler request the honor of your presence at our wedding." Unless you're getting married in a church or other religious institution, I would change it to "Together with their families, Shannon & Tyler request the pleasure of your company at their wedding."

I would also cut the part about food and seating from the RSVP cards. It sounds harsh and rude. You should follow up with anyone who hasn't RSVPd by your set date so that you have a response from each person. It's also not necessary to put that you're having an adults only event, just don't invite kids. If you do find it necessary, I would just put it on your wedding website or at least change the wording to "this is an adults only event."
