Woohoo. fh is getting addresses

Woohoo! I have a feeling I'm going to have to be on my FH's case about getting this done, but I'm thinking it might be easier for me to do it myself. We only have around 35 families we are inviting, so it won't be that bad.

We're also date twins! Can't wait until September 12!

View Quoted Comment I understand, I called FH's aunt (who just moved here from CA and I have met only a few times at family functions) to invite her to our son's birthday and she was like "who is this?" lol! Explaining who you are to extended family doesn't sound fun! Ten addresses on the first of the month is good progress, I get stuck on the phone when I call people so that would easily be like 10+ hours on the phone for me lol! Another good reason to let FH handle it, he's direct and doesn't do chitchat!
Planning feels like it is finally moving forward here, in 41 days I can book our venue and then I think it will really feel real because we'll have the venue, catering, photography, and dress! I also have what feels like a million DIY projects to get going on, but those should be fun!
I'm so glad I gave myself so much time, and my FH definitely needed it, he said he just wanted to enjoy being engaged before worrying about a wedding, which I get but still! From February, when we got engaged until maybe two weeks ago trying to get his opinions and input was nearly impossible, but he's finally started to respond with something other than "whatever makes you happy" or "whatever you think is best!"What's your next big hurdle?

View Quoted Comment My dress just came so picking that up next week. Then in late September we have engagement pictures. So trying to make sure we have stuff for that. We have catering, the venue, photographer, DJ, bakery stuff, hair person booked. I'm happy we have so much booked. I'm hoping to start making payments to them next month.

My FH makes me laugh. He's messaging everyone on Facebook and he's like my phone is blowing up. Um well yeah lol

Awesome, it's so nice to have the major things come together and a relief not having to keep researching! Engagement pictures are coming up for us soon too, we're planning mid-September to hopefully catch the aspens changing colors! I'm WAY overthinking what to wear at this point!

Hopefully his phone blowing up means you'll have all your addresses within the next week! lol

That’s awesome! I made my FH get addresses for our Christmas cards last year but I only wrote some of them in my address book so he’s not going to be happy about having to get them AGAIN 🙄

View Quoted Comment Haha! I think this is semi confusing for him in a way. One of his guy cousins told my FH that cousin's sister won't be able to make it to the wedding. So FH is like ok we can take her off the list. No..we aren't taking her off the guest list. A. Be rude to send her 2 brothers a save the date and invite later and not send her one. B. Things can change within the next year.

How exciting. My FH is terrible about these things so while I let him gather them I also went to his mother on the side and got them so I could start addressing things so he didn't delay the process hahahahah

Haha, well technically I probably don't need them till the end of September. But I also know this is going to take some time. So I set the deadline a month earlier than necessary. But he doesn't need to know that part lol

I had to beg and beg and beg for him to get me addresses! I finally reached out to his mom and cousin and got the ones that were missing. I am putting him in charge of follow up though - our RSVPs are due back by August 20th.

Way to go for FH getting stuff done! Sometimes you have to lay down the law

Tell your FH that the WW community thinks he's awesome!! My FH job by the end of the month is to finish his half of our wedding website.. so far not so good for him which makes me jealous that your man is doing so well!
