Wooden Roses??? Advice

Aussie Bride, on October 5, 2009 at 2:08 AM Posted in Planning 0 25

Well I wasnt sure what to do here so i thought who better to ask for advice then the people of WW. I have been looking at ways to cut costs and do some DIY projects partly due to money and partly to enjoy making things. Well I found these wooden roses and thought they looked gorgeous not only that but with a wedding near valentines i thought they would be a cheaper alternative and I can get as many as i want. Have any of you had any experience with these. Would it be tacky or cheap looking to use them in my bouquets. I was also thinking of giving a personalised wooden rose as a wedding favour as FH has always given me roses and its a symbol for us. What do all of you think

That's definitely an interesting concept... I can't see how they're wood though. they look more like silk or something.

It would be a great way to have your bouquet last a really long time, that's for sure!

They're also really affordable, especially at under $1 each, that would make a great wedding favor.

They're actually very pretty.. photos never do them justice.. however, I would order small samples of what you're interested in and test out the company, as well as the roses!

What are your wedding colors? if this was more of an antique style wedding with rustic reds and browns it would be so cool to leave them the nautral wood color. i think they are great and since i just spent like 370.00 on having my bouquet preserved, i love the idea even more LOL

A client of mine makes wooden roses and actually gave me a bouquet of them. I just took a photo of them to give you an idea of what they look like bunched together. They do not sit well up against each other.

I think that it is a very cute idea. I have some that I bought awhile back. You can even spray them with any scent you want and it lasts for a long time.
