Wood Flowers?

Marlena, on February 28, 2020 at 2:00 PM Posted in Style and Décor 2 10

Hi all!

My wedding is still a long way away, but I'm always looking at dresses and decor and planning things out because I'm sure the time will fly by! I was on Etsy and I saw some people do bouquets made out of wood and they look STUNNING.

I'm hoping people who have had wood bridal bouquets or wood flower centerpieces can share their experiences and pictures! I can't get over how beautiful they look and I'd love to have a bouquet that lasts forever.

Thanks!

Time will definitely fly!! I am not having wood (I am doing other artificial flowers though!), but a friend did sola wood and she loved it!

I have sola wood flower bouquets and I LOVE them! I'll also be using them for centerpieces and ceremony decor as well!

The ones in the burgundy jar will have fillers added but haven't gotten them yet! My FH and I were experimenting last night with everything so they're nowhere near the finish product 😂

Those are so beautiful! I am definitely going to keep them in mind for my bouquet and reception decor!!

Thank you for these pics, I'm going to keep some sola wood flower options bookmarked for when we start buying things!

I ordered my wood flowers from Sola Wood Flowers on black flowers so I got about 600 flowers for $250 for my centerpiece. And they’re GORGEOUS. I’m so excited because they’re unique and actually go with my theme better than real flowers. I also love that I can make them any color I want by dying them!

Can you post a picture of some of them? Even not dyed yet.

So here are just a few of them undyed - But I ordered a ton of different ones that I can take more pictures of if you want. The little ones aren’t my favorite tbh but I only ordered 20 of those and I’ll still use them. I love the middle one and I think they’re perfect!!

Yes, the middle one will be beautiful dyed. I’m am really considering doing wood flowers. I’m concerned though because I am not good with flowers at all. I don’t care for cut flowers. I love flowers.... in the ground where they grow and flourish, but not cut flowers so I’m struggling with what to do for our wedding.

On their fb page Sola wood Flowers has how to videos for dying the flowers and assembling and all that. It doesn’t seem too hard to me! The petals are very soft and they seem pretty durable. You can buy them pre-dyed but I prefer to do it myself. You just mix paint and some water, or they sell dye on their website. They also sell all the stuff you need for bouquets and other craft projects!
