Hi ladies! Has anyone used wood flower bouquets for their big day? What was your experiance with them? What company did you order them from? Was is a good buy compared to buying them from a florist or buying real touch flowers? I would love to see pictures of them! Thanks!

I ordered wood flowers off of Etsy and they are amazing! It took 4 months to get them but they are beautiful. I am so happy with them! I ordered 3 bouquets and 3 boutonnières and paid around $300.

This was my bouquet! They were beautiful. I ordered them from HeyBouquet on Etsy. For everything we got, it was ~$400
(9" bridal bouquet, 7" MOH bouquet (actually won in a contest) 2-6" BM bouquets, 6 boutonnieres and 2 wrist corsages.)

My only complaint with the sola wood flowers was we ordered our stuff in December. Got them in January/February and were stored until May. When we used them they smelled awful. My perfume didnt even really cover the smell. I think it was a storage issue. They were kept in my parents house in the basement. I think they smelled like dog pee...which would make sense because the dog slept in the basement even though they were kept in 2 separate rooms.

This was me in my friends wedding with sola wood flowers. We DIYd the bouquets. The flowers look pretty, but if you are gonna do them, I would order premade bouquets. You have soak the flowers, dye them, attach stems, and THEN build the bouquets. They are also quite fragile. Very pretty though!

I got a sola wood bouquet from Southern Blooms. It took months to arrive but luckily I ordered it well before the wedding. Honestly I wish I didn’t... the wires that the flowers are on can be seen from the sides and it looks really tacky IMO. I was gonna scrap it and cut my losses but my florist said she can add some real flowers to make it look better. I’m trusting her!

Order samples before you order your actual bouquets. I was going to use sola wood flowers. When I received the samples I realized they are definitely not for me. They are extremely delicate. They feel brittle and stiff, not at all like flowers. For deep jewel tones, sola flowers don't look at all realistic. For greenery, most of the wood flower artists just use rubber or plastic faux greenery.

I opted for high-quality faux flowers. They are much more resilient and they feel like I'm carrying a bouquet of flowers. If they get crushed or creased, just steam them and they bounce back to their original shape. The colors are a lot truer as well.

I'm getting samples from 2 shops to see how they compare to each other. I have thought about faux flowers but I'm not sure where to get them. Where are you getting your faux flowers from?

Afloral.com has very nice quality faux flowers. You can get high quality from Joann's and Michael's as well. If you wait for sales, you can get them for 50%-70% off. I got wreathes from Joann's for my centerpieces that are very realistic. They are normally $50, I got them for $15 each! I got velvet roses that look and feel very real from Amazon for $16 for 10 stems. People are shocked when they find out they are faux. Amazon is great for ordering different things because they make returns so easy. I got greenery on Amazon and Afloral as well.

In my bouquet: Large velvet roses from Amazon, purple lavender from Amazon, purple anemone (the large purple flowers) from Afloral.com, greenery from Joann's, rose buds from Afloral, floral wire and tape from Amazon, purple double face ribbon Wrapped around the stems) from ribbonbazarre.com

Thank you! I'm in love with my bouquet.😊

If you do your own, just take your time choosing and select only the best quality for your money. Return anything that isn't up to your standard. It's so worth it!
