Our wedding got moved from May 2020 to this September due to CoVID. We are considering distributing masks at our wedding to make guests feel more comfortable if they choose to wear one. Just wondering if other people are doing the same or if anyone has had a recent wedding with guests wearing them....

So we are doing a masquerade ball on Halloween so I don't think I will just because people may not want to wear both. I am still unsure but I might do the hand sanitizer thing and put on our invitations that we want them to be safe at all costs.

10/10/20 bride to be: Our wedding website has a special COVID precautions page. We are strongly encouraging our guests to wear masks, but I’m not comfortable requiring/mandating it or providing masks. If that makes people uncomfortable to attend, we understand. Nothing about our wedding planning process has been normal. I personally will be wearing a mask for most of the day besides the actual ceremony. I’m actually looking forward to taking some fun “mask pics” with my bridal party to commemorate.

Other things: Our wedding venue is spacing tables out as much as possible, requires us to do a seating chart (families together), plated dinner service (we were planning on this anyways) and is not allowing cups/plates/bread baskets, or even our cake to be sitting out. It will all be distributed by their catering staff who will be wearing masks, gloves, and any other PPE required by state.

If my wedding was in September, I totally would! I’m forgetful and I would probably forget to bring one. Plus, I feel like if the couple provides them, it makes the guests feel like you were thinking of them.

Before we postponed our October wedding (to next October) I definitely looked into custom masks on Etsy to distribute as guests arrived that said “Only Spreading Love”. With states re-opening and venues moving forward with events, it’s easy to be in denial about the virus in hopes of having a “normal” wedding. But COVID is still very prevalent and continues to spread. So having masks for guests is a useful and cute necessity.

I saw this on Facebook yesterday, and thought it was a great idea. We’re having a jack and Jill party in a couple weeks and I’m strongly considering having these available, that way people know how others feel regarding touching/social distancing just by looking at them

I am supplying masks to my wedding party for August.. I am also going to set up a table like this at the entrance so no one feels uncomfortable saying they are keeping distance. We want to do everything we can to keep everyone safe! Wondering if i should distribute masks at Sept. wedding 2

Hi Jessica! I also am doing this idea as I saw it on here and my dad called me about it. To save money and simplify it for me, I chose just to do one color band to signal to stay 6 ft away from that person. I put on the band “toasting from 6 ft apart- Cheers!” To keep it positive. If they have a band on, be sure to social distance, if no band, then ok! Loving this idea!!

I actually included masks with the wedding favors waiting for the guests in their chairs. I ordered some cloth masks and some iron labels with our hashtag and date. It turned out really cute. It even doubled as a hanky for those who were crying.

I actually think this is an incredibly thoughtful idea. Sure, some people will bring their own, but it will encourage proper safety precautions are taken. I think it's great

Yes, I'm hiring someone to make masks for guests for my wedding. They can take if they want, and anything left over, I will donate.

I am thinking of having a sign that says, "Welcome to our masquerade" and offer disposable masks, or maybe a custom mask for each person since we're only having 10 guests.

That would make me more comfortable being in a gathering. While we have reusable masks, at a long event, they could get wet or dirty, and we'd want to change them out. Handing them out would give everyone a backup.

I think you should offer them to take one if they wish to but not require it but that is up to you and your fh to decide
