I received a call from National Registry that stated that FH and I won a choice of one gift package after attending a bridal expo recently. But we both have to attend one of their Bridal Registry event. Packages choices: Wedding bands (value $800) All inclusive vacation to Mexico, DR, or Bahamas, (3d/2nd) All exclusive vacation within the US from 20 locations (for 3d/2n) I'm trying to avoid a scam or wasting my time, its a 90 minutes demostration of products showcase at a local hotel. Anyone been to this? What was your experience?

I just received a call explaining the same exact prize and description. She said she was at the expo I just went to last weekend with a polka dot table cloth and I actually don’t recall seeing that this past Sunday. While she was talking I googled it and saw your post! She explained my fiancé and I would have to attend the presentation tomorrow or Friday. I told her I have prior commitments both days already and she quickly said she’ll call back another time and hung up. Definitely a scam!

I just got the call! We are going Saturday in hopes that it’s not a total waste of time. The free wedding bands will be nice but I’m hoping the trip pans out! Anyone ever go on the trip?

Do not do it! I went the presentation back in 2016. We were shown some pots and pans and if we purchased we’d get a free honey. Stupidly we bought into it for the honey moon. We’ve been paying off the pots and pans since then and still owe on them.

The sells man told us that we could register through NBR and our family could send gift cards. He told us straight up the gift cards would go towards the pots and pans. THIS IS NOT TRUE!! We sent in a couple hundred dollars in gift cards and haven’t seen a change on our account. I contacted the lady from NBR a couple of times trying to figure out where the money went to. I have received on email back from her, after replying she sent me the same exact email back. I’ve call many times and have left messages and nothing!!

Update! Me and my fiancé attended the “cooking” show, the sales man showed us the pots and pans and even cooked us some chicken to sample. The pots and pans seem very cool however, the cheapest package for a set of about 5 pans is 2,000 dollars!!! Omg...crazy I would never spend that much on pots and pans. Anyway the sales man told us we would receive the prizes at the end of the show and we were under no obligation to purchase the pots and pans...which we didn’t. We got our gift card for a set of 2 wedding bands... the website has most of the rings listed around 400 dollars, the men’s rings are really nice however the women’s rings are eh so-so...you do have to pay 25 dollars in shipping though which honestly this is such a great deal. We also got the vacation package which was a 2 night and 3 day all inclusive resort stay to Viva Wyndham resorts at your choice of either Mexico, Bahamas, or Dominican Republic...you do have to pay a registration fee for this which is about $150 dollars, however that is nothing for a all inclusive resort stay. And you have about 2 years to use this and can use it whenever you want, it doesn’t have to be for a honeymoon. And the third thing we got was a gift card for a pair of champagne flutes shopping and handling for this was $25 dollars...honestly I won’t be using this because Groupon has them for way cheaper. So all in all...this was definitely worth it. If your gullible and can’t say no to salesman than I would probably not advise you to go though lol because 2000 dollars worth of pots and pans is not worth it. But if you can say no than I would say definitely do this, it is completely worth it!

I got the call too, and my fiance and I are going to the cooking demo tonight! I was/am super skeptical, but I was reading on another forum that it is not a scam. They just do a demo of their cookware that they try to sell you, but the lady on the phone assured me that I do not need to buy anything or sign up for anything in order to receive my three prizes - Any two JVL wedding band voucher, 3 day 2 night stay through Viva Wyndham resorts, and two elegant champagne flutes. Nervous, but giving a shot!

Finally heard back from BR they said the moved in the time I’d sent my cards in lol okay. On Thursday she said she’d track them down, by Friday she magically found them. They were suppose to be credit to my P&P bill today and they still haven’t been.

Don't be nervous! It's actually super legit! The guy that did our demo was named Rick. Funny guy! At the beginning of the demo, he went over all the gifts we will receive at the end: a gift card voucher for any two wedding bands on JVL jewelry; a 2 night, 3 day stay at a Viva Wyndham resort in 5 Caribbean locations, but it also gives you an option to select a local US destination; lastly, a voucher for a pair of personalized champagne flutes from Dinner4Two by Kitchen Charm (which btw Kitchen Charm is the brand of the cookware and knives that is being demoed).

There was no catch! At the end of his demo, those who didn't want to buy anything were able to receive their gifts at the end without any hassle. Those who did buy something received lifetime warranty and lifetime 50% off all products from Kitchen Charm. My fiance loves to cook and is really good at it. He likes having good quality items, so he was drooling over the knives haha, so he did end up buying the 5 piece knife set which comes with a bamboo block. He rationale on buying the knives was that no one else was going to buy us $900 knives! Haha. The cookware is actually fabulous!! So our intention was that since we made a purchase, now we can buy the cookware individually at a later time or even put some items on our registry. Since we made a purchase, we ended getting an additional vacation offer! 7 night stay at a resort with several continents to choose from! They have Europe on there, so once we receive the information in the mail, I'm going to check out the options and we will probably use that for our honeymoon!

So don't worry! It's legit, and you will get all your gifts at the end without needing to buy anything!
