Women's Size 11 Dress Shoes

SoonToBeMrsB, on September 22, 2014 at 9:32 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 20

Hey Ladies!

I know that i am in the minority when it comes to my shoe size. I'm a size 12, just wondering if anyone else was able to find nice wedding shoes in a larger size? I've tried my usual sites, Payless, Bakers, and Nine West, and haven't been able to find anything I actually like. Any suggestions?

Steve Madden sometimes carries larger sizes. Nordstrom or maybe Zappos.

Did you try DSW? Not sure if they have them in your area, but there are a bunch by me. I found my wedding shoes there. Here is the link:

    http://www.dsw.com/shoe/kelly+.and.+katie+doreen+platform+pump?prodId=dsw12prod4940044&activeCats=cat10006,cat20006

Also, not sure if you're a size 12 or 11, cause your post and you title say two different sizes. These shoes go up to an 11.

I got mine at payless, those silver glitter flats. My dress is white with silver so it should work.

I wear a size 11. The best place I have found around here is 9 West. If you see a style you like, they can at least bring it in for you. Occasionally, I find something in my size at DSW. With DSW, it's way easier to find them online and have them shipped. I hear that Nordstrom is pretty good, but I haven't shopped for shoes there myself.

I wear a size 10, but have really wide feet, so I usually go up to an 11. I've seen size 12s on DSW's site.

They're not heels, but they're beautiful: if you don't have a wide foot, try Beachcomber's Indian Khussa shoes in size 12 - they are soft leather and silk, hand-beaded, and stretch to fit your foot as you wear them around... I was dubious they'd stretch enough, but I love them, they're so comfy, and they come up to size 12. http://www.shopbeachcombers.com/Khussa-Indian-Shoes-Size-12-s/68.htm They make them in warm white, cool white, silver, and gold, as well as "something blue" soft powder blue for weddings!

Also, recommend to look at European brands - German and Austrian women average size foot is a 9, so their shoe brands come in size 12 in all stores. You may have to search a lot online to find them, though.

If you have the budget, Jimmy Choo's glitter fabric works with white, ivory, and champagne dresses, and comes in flats, mid heel, and high heel styles, like this Isabel http://shop.nordstrom.com/s/jimmy-choo-isabel-pump/3135560 . My SIL splurged on them, and never had to take them off all day/night, and she wears them now with jeans to dresses, so definitely they're not stuck in the closet.

Sydney's Closet http://www.sydneyscloset.com/ has a nice selection of wedding and dressy shoes up to 12, including wide width options. You can find a lot on Zappos, too.

I also wear a size 12! I normally buy my everyday shoes at Payless, but I found size 12's online at 6pm, DSW, Nine West, and Cato. I also searched on Amazon and they had quite a selection. But, I ended up getting mine from shoesofprey.com.....you can design your own shoes, and they go up to size 12. A bit pricey, but they are exactly what I want!

    Good luck!

Try Famous Footwear. I believe you can search by size on their website.

Nordstrom and nordstrom rack and the top of my list. I grew up in jackson so I imagine you are right that you aren't going to have a big selection in your area. I'm a size 11 or 12 in shoes and so is my mom. wide on top of it all. last time she visited I took her shopping for shoes, and she cried that she was able to find pretty heels in her size Smiley smile

set up a destination trip to denver to shop for shoes is my vote. Smiley smile

I've gotten a couple of size 11's off Victoria's Secret website and they fit on the larger side. If you get open toe they might be ok

I don't have your shoe size, but Nordstroms is awesome! You can ship them to your house for free and if you don't like them, just send them back with free shipping! That's how I found my shoes, I seriously bought 3 pairs at a time, sent what I didn't like back, then ordered a few more until I narrowed it down to my favorite pair Smiley smile . All at no charge to me in the comfort of my home!
