Winter flowers!

Samantha, on July 6, 2019 at 11:33 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 14
Meeting with my florist this weekend! I’m looking for bouquet/flower ideas! Our wedding is in December and our colors are dark green and Cabernet! I know with the time of year we are somewhat limited with our flower options, so just curious to see what others are doing/have done in the past! Thanks in advance :-)

You could use fewer flowers and also incorporate berries, pine cones, seeded eucalyptus or succulents! For a deep red flowers I have seen roses, chrysanthemum, lilies, and a few others!

My colors are dark green and white, and will be getting married in November. I chose to just keep my bouquet simple and have greenery and white flowers.

I actually ended up doing silk flowers due to my December wedding. I was Super bummed to find out my favorite flower did not grow in December and they wanted me to replace it with carnations. Nope! I’ll have ivory roses with dahlias and gold tips on the roses.

I got married in December and my flowers included roses, peonies, anemones, greenery and berries. My florist was able to get my peonies imported from another country so I could have them. It was an extra cost but worth it and my bouquet was still affordable at $125. My centerpieces were garlands with roses and daisies. I also used those same garlands to drape the pews at the ceremony.

Roses are a winter flower. We did white roses, babies breath, pine cones, flat cedar and some berries.

I think something like this is beautiful! Since it’s in the winter you could use pine cones as fillers or some type of red berries as well!

We decided on blush and white roses with hypericum berries and greenery for my bouquet and FHs boutonniere. Then for bridesmaids bouquets, groomsmen/dads' boutonnieres, and moms' corsages we picked white roses and greenery. These were the inspiration pictures for our florist:

I’m getting married December 14th, 2019 and we’re using white roses. I’m also ordering them from Sam’s Club.

When I was trying to convince my FH to do a winter wedding, the plan was to do pinecone bouquets that were spraypainted white and dipped in white glitter, with bright red berry accents.
