Winter bridal wraps?

Adrian, on October 19, 2019 at 11:15 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 10

My partner and I are tying the knot on December 16, 2020, at Cataract Falls in Gatlinburg. It's outside. My dress is gorgeous, a sleeveless a-line dress with a v-shaped neckline. Looking at the weather of years past, it's likely to not get above the 50's F, and I don't want to freeze to death before saying I do, but I don't want to cover my neckline because it looks DAMN good. Any recommendations?

Welcome to the WeddingWire community Adrian!

Your wedding sounds so beautiful, but you’re definitely right, you don’t want to freeze!!

Depending on your style, there are so many different options for a wrap/coverup for your wedding! I did a search on Pinterest to find some inspiration photos for you to see what you like.

Thanks for the advice, everyone! Talking about it with a friend who is also planning her wedding (and my mother) helped, too.I'm planning to make a cloak, in burgundy (it goes so well with champagne, the color of my dress), probably in flannel or something like it, and lining it with faux fur. I can get a blanket for 25 dollars, and use it for the lining. I'm inspired by the image below, but no hood. And I'm not sure how I plan to fasten it yet.

These are all absolutely stunning!!! The feathers are so fun. And that second dress is jaw-dropping!! I want to have another wedding just to wear something like it, haha!

This color will be so perfect for the time of year you're getting married too!!! And it will add your own personality to your dress and your look. Cloaks are so fun in photos too! Do you have a photo of your dress? I'd love to see it!

This is my dress! I'm getting it in this color (champagne), but I'm altering it to have no train since I'm getting married outside, and not in a grassy place. I'm working on the rest of my look, but I know I'll be wearing Cons (in burgundy) and a drop veil that my fiance and I work on together. Debating on getting a flower crown of some kind (likely eucalyptus if I do, since it's in my bouquet) and my hairstyle.AJ's DressWinter bridal wraps? 9

Hey Kaylie! I actually have no clue where this dress originates from. I found the image on Pinterest when searching for bridal capes. Perhaps if you did a reverse Google image search you would be able to find it's source?

It really is a beautiful dress. it is similar to the type of dress you are looking for?
