wigs or hair extensions

Stevi, on June 25, 2015 at 7:26 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 16

I was looking on Etsy I found a few hair extensions but I came across this most amazing wig. What are y'alls thoughts on both of them

Is that just a general thought on wigs vs. extensions? Or do you have pictures or link for the specific ones you are looking at? (I'm on mobile so maybe I'm not seeing it).

Generally speaking I would not want to wear a wig on my wedding day. They get so hot, I would be sweating like a pig. Not something I would want to have to deal with on my wedding day.

I'm using extensions on my wedding. My hair is so fine so it's not even for the extra length, it's just for the thickness

Wig?? I'd go with hair exts, if anything. Brides should look like themselves, just prettied up.

I'm also doing extensions for the same reason as MJ--my hair is too thin to hold a curl. A wig sounds miserable, but truly I've never really worn one.

I'm using extensions - my length is fine, but I need more oomph to get the look I want!

I would talk to a stylist who does extensions first. Sometimes the hair they get is better quality and cheaper than online. I wear a weave (sewn in extensions) daily and I love it. It's just easier than trying to curly my real hair, which is long and frizzy. I would advise against a wig though. I attempted to wear one for a day to save some money (my hair is $250-300 to get done) and it was absolutely miserable. I couldn't even wear it longer than 2 hours.

I was told by my stylist that as long as it's real hair and you can use hot tools with it, the brand doesn't matter. I am wearing extensions because I needed the volume. I bought mine at Sally Hanson Beauty Supply.

If you go into a mom and pop beauty supply they normally have really good extensions that are under $45. Just be sure to ask for virgin, human hair. They don't have dye or product in them. I go to the pool several times per week and wash my hair with my extensions in, and I've never had a problem.

I wore extensions and loved it, I totally recommend them....before photos and after from my trial below. I bought a full set from Sallys for about $130 or so. Whatever you do, make sure they are 100% human hair

I have very fine shoulder length hair that is naturally curly and uncooperative... not to mention there is just not enough to do anything with. I wore two full sets of extensions from Sally's. I highly recommend them. Like Maltese said, make sure they are real human hair.

I'm wearing extensions, unless you have extremely short hair or none I don't recommend wearing a wig.

I have halo hair extensions, and love them. They were about 175$ for 16 inches. I am using them for added length and because my hair is very fine.
