Why so difficult?

Music choices...having the hardest time picking songs. What songs did you choose for processional, recessional?

My FH is a huge classical music nerd - he heard a piano tune in a movie trailer and got so excited about that that when I tried to ask him about the movie itself he went 'there was a trailer for that?' - so we picked a bunch of classical pieces for before the ceremony. Do you have a favorite song? I'm walking down the aisle to a piano cover of one of my favorites, and we're exiting to one of his. It's tough though! We still need so much cocktail hour music

We love soulful r&b so have picked those for our songs. It was just a rough process.

Same! I had to take over for cocktail hour because my FH would have everyone listening to death metal- his interests in music are varied, to say the least. It's been like pulling teeth. I'm walking down to a video game song because we're both the biggest nerds.

I'm also having the hardest time coming up with processional music. Probably:

String quartet version of 311 for groomsmen TBD brides processional...but also a string quartet version. Either Led Zeppelin "all of my love," "Tangerine," or maybe a cover of iron and wine.Recessional: either the Beatles' "Here comes the sun" or Zeppelin "all of my love" if I don't use it.
I also really love the princess bride movie and there's a great song there too...

For our processional we are using This is it by Scotty Mccreery, and for our recessional we are having a family friend play bagpipes, however we haven't decided which particular tune will be played for that.

Bridal Party walking to Evening Sun by Jon Bryant

I'm walking down to an acoustic guitar instrumental of Here I Am to Worship

And then our recessional song is Your Love Has Found Us by Gateway Worship! Smiley smile

It did take A LOT of time and thinking to figure them out, so don't be too hard on yourself. Right now I'm trying to figure out cocktail/dinner music and it feels like the impossible puzzle!

My stepdaughter and I are walking down to A thousand Years by Christina Perri. We are all exiting to Signed, Sealed, Delivered by Stevie Wonder. We have no wedding party BTW, just us and our 2 kids

I am also struggling with this SO much because music is so personal to both my fiancé and myself, and I want unique songs that are reflective of us. But I also want music that is not too quirky or “out there” — it’s so hard to choose!
One thing I’m excited about is the fact that a cello/flute duo I absolutely love is playing the music for our wedding ceremony!

So if you know of anyone who is a musician and could play live music, it could be a special touch ☺️As far as song suggestions go, I’m not much help — I totally understand the struggle!

I basically have been listening to spotify playlists for wedding songs and went through that route.

We did instrumental music versions of our favorite video games and movies for before the ceremony and cocktail hour.

We'll have the parents and bridesmaids walk to Cannon D. The guys will also be walking down to the Zelda theme song (I didn't like the idea of them all just standing up there. I wanted them to have their moment too and have fun.) I'll be walking to A Thousand Years by the Piano Guys.
