Why is Brides Hair and Makeup More Expensive (Any MUA and Hair by Chicago Suburbs?)

Mine actually isn't technically more expensive, but I get charged twice as much as the bms because that price includes my trials, which makes sense to me. twice the services for twice the price. others that I have seen that have a price difference were ones that included falsies or airbrush for the bride but not bms. anything beyond that, I don't understand unless of course, all your girls have wavy half up hairstyles and you have an elaborate updo.

Most places by me (West of Chicago Between Elgin and DeKalb) is 75 for BMs and then 120 or 100 for Brides plus 100 for the trail! I would love to do it but I just can't see paying 300+ for my hair and makeup.

I was wondering the same as mine does not come with a trial. Maybe because they do more extensive, detailed work on the bride? I don't really know.

That's crazy, but your bms hair & makeup is more affordable than it is for my ladies. its around $100-$110 for them (depending on how elaborate they want their hair) and $220 for me, so your prices don't seem bad to me.

I'd say mostly because they can, but it also might be that they put in a little more effort on the bride. My place actually charges me the same the day of, but like Future Mrs. Hall said, we get trials done too.

Because more time and effort is put into the brides. they often are requesting more intricate and detailed hairstyles than the bridesmaids....I think 45min to an hour (with veil placement) is allotted for my hair the day of while the bridesmaids are being estimated at about a half hour
