May 27th was the happiest day of my life Smiley smile My advice? Spend as much time with your loved ones who come from out of town for the wedding as possible. Also, spend time with yourself...get a massage, take yoga, do something for yourself alone. I set aside a pampering session at the nail salon for my entire bridal party and it was amazing bonding time. My husband and I also spent a lot of time with our nephews and parents. The rehearsal and dinner were other wonderful events. We spent a lot of time enjoying ourselves with our friends. Sleep alone the night before your weddingSmiley smile In the AM, take the time on your wedding day to savor every moment; every action. Getting your hair done, makeup, talking to your bridal party (I had everyone get dressed at my house and it was fabulous), writing a note to your husband/partner, putting on your dress, etc. I suggest exchanging gifts with your partner a full day before, so that it becomes a private moment for just the two of you. Every moment of your ceremony should also be savored and enjoyed. I loved every moment of our wedding service, and our vows. Take dance classes and do a choreographed first dance; dance classes with your partner will strengthen your bond and create really fun memories. When the time comes to dance in front of everyone, you will feel so elated and happy. Great your guests early in the evening, so that you can eat, actually experience your wedding, and enjoy the dancing. If possible, have your head server pack up several meals for your bridal suite, so you can eat a full meal later or even the next morning. We barely ate or drank after cocktail hour, because we were just taking all of it in, talking and dancing most of the night. Enjoy the introductions and make them fun with your bridal party! Our DJ really nailed it and made sure that sort of thing went smoothly. We also skipped the garter toss and did a fun raffle game to give away our centerpieces. We (and most guests) stayed until the very end of the party, and had a brunch the next day with family members that had stayed overnight. I do have to say that having a good timeline and making sure that all vendors had it was invaluable. Clear meetings and conversations with vendors in advance also made our day run totally smoothly. Good luck to all my other date twin newlyweds!
