Love this idea of coming back and sharing advice! It is always helpful hearing from someone who just went through their wedding, so see what they would do differently or keep the same!

It’s been 20-days and I’m only now, getting the opportunity to come back with updates. Being a Year like no other, I expected for planning to be out of the ordinary, but not 10- days before! We chose our location, caterer and date more than one year ago, so my only issue would be my hair and dress... or so I thought. Modified COVID-19 restrictions only allowed for 10- people inside for our ceremony. February 14th, 2021 was freezing! Had to secure an alternate venue and caterer in under 2 weeks! I though to hell with it! I’m wearing jeans and a tee and my hair in a ponytail!

I’m thankful for my tribe, who traveled to New Orleans, despite the pandemic, from Ohio, South Carolina and Georgia to bring so calm in the midst of chaos. The event was flawless! The decor was beautiful! The food was scrumptious! The cake was to die for! And my dress was exquisite! I married a wonderful man and my family and friends sacrificed to see it come to pass! I am beyond grateful! Not having a bridal party was the best idea that I have had in quite a while. It was truly “My Day” and the focus was where is was supposed to be 😉!
