We have a very complicated relationship with my Meme (Grandmother- father's Mom). My mother and her absolutely do not get along. The family has mixed feelings about her.
We will have 2 groomsmen and 3 bridesmaids. We thought we had it all sorted out. FH and best man stand at altar. Grooms parents walk each other. My brother walks my Mom down and then joins the groom and best man. Then all three bridesmaids process down the aisle.
Problem is, we forgot to count in Meme. We feel she should go first as she is the only living grandparent present. But who walks her? If my FH does then his brother stands awkwardly at the altar. If the best man (FH brother) walks her, he doesn't really know her that well nor is he related (in the immediate sense). My Dad could walk her and loop around to get me since I'll be walking down last.
Any suggestions/alternate ideas?
