Who to invite?

So I’m having a little bit of a struggle there’s people I have on my list for guest list that I have known for decades and I might not speak to them every day, but they were a really big part of my life at one point and I still think of them often and one person in particular I know is getting married and the only reason I know about it is because they’ve posted it on social media and I know I wasn’t invited to their wedding. But I’m not the kind of person to not invite someone just on that status alone but it’s kinda just like a little hurtful and maybe I’m overthinking it but I mean, how do you really decide who to invite to your wedding without hurting someone’s feelings I mean the old-fashioned way of you know invite family, friends, people that are part of your life is great but everybody goes through on things and sometimes I’m wondering if I’m leaving people off my list for the right or wrong reasons and I’m kind of looking for advice on this.
