Who to invite to legal ceremony

We are having a huge wedding weekend in our hometown with all of our friends and family. A friend is officiating the ceremony. However, it's important to me that we get married religiously and decided to do it during our honeymoon. Who should we invite? We were thinking either just us or inviting just close family. Also thinking we would pay for our family's flights. It's going to be a week and a half after our wedding weekend. Thoughts?
