Who should get corsages and boutonnières?

Heather, on March 20, 2017 at 2:03 AM Posted in Planning 0 9

I'm not sure who all should get a corsage or boutonnière. Of course parents and grandparents, groomsmen and ushers. Am I missing anybody that should?

We did florals for everyone walking in the processional. Boutonnières for the groom, groomsmen and dads. Corsages for the moms. Bouquets for bridesmaids and bride. In our case, grandparents were already seated and did not receive florals.

Of course, the groom. If they are old enough (not toddler age) I have also seen ring bearers wear a boutonniere. Best wishes!

Sounds like you have it covered. I have seen guest book attendant have a corsage too, but I think that is personal preference.

I think you've got it covered. You're distinguishing the VIPs with these small floral tokens, and parents, grandparents, and any other older family member who really made on impression on your life or his life, are generally the recipients. If there are stepparents in the mix, and with our clients, that's not unusual, we usually make a piece that doesn't rival what the parents wear, but it does designate them as parental figures (and believe me, most stepmothers want that recognition).

We don't have a bridal party, so for us it wound up being boutonnières for the groom and both dads and then corsages for our moms and my godmother as "honorary flower woman".

We didn't have a per se bridal party so our kids, godparents, aunts and uncles (we are older so not many surviving), siblings and Lord above knows who else!

We did bouts for fh, groomsmen, our boys and dads. Corsages for mum's and readers (our godmothers). All of our grandparents passed away.
