Who should be in the Bridal Suite getting ready with the bride?

Private User, on March 20, 2014 at 9:37 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 3

I am getting married in 3.5 weeks, and I am wondering who should be allowed in the bridal suite...I am quite close with my mother-in-law to be, and my grandma-in-law to be, and my mom does not want them to be in the bridal suite while we are getting ready. They have had such a hand in who I have become and I would love to share that intimate time with them before the wedding. I don't want to cause any stress on others, let alone myself. I don't know what to do, please any suggestions are welcome.

All women in the wedding are allowed in my bridal suite so I'm probably not much help.

My FMIL, FSIL, bridesmaids, my mother, both grandmothers will all be there

    A) Who do you want to be there? b) Who wants to be there?

Anyone who meets both criteria should be there, anyone who does not meet both should not be there.

It is ultimately your choice and what you are comfortable with. I plan on having a sign placed on the door saying "bridal party and photographer only please" (with the exception of my mother and mil of course) as I have an aunt that decided at my cousin's wedding that she just couldn't wait for her to walk down the aisle to see her all done up so she came back to take a few posed photos..we did not have time for that and it made things uncomfortable.
