Who is wearing wedges?

Mrs.T, on June 18, 2014 at 12:29 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 22

I am stuck on shoes! I am in love with these beauties, I found them on sale for $159.99 reduced from $265 (6pm.com) but they are freakin 4 inches high! I don't often wear heels, and every review of BM I have read say they are in general very uncomfortable, so I think I have to admit these are not the shoes for me ;-(

I need wedges as the whole day will be on grass, and also need my baby toe strapped in because it dislocates easily.

I can't find anything else that I like!! What are you wearing and where are they from? Post a pic!!

These are mine! I'm also bringing flip flops just in case because these are really tall.

Those are cute Kimberley! But what will you do about the length of your dress if you change into flip flops? Won't it be super long and drag or get caught up when you walk?

@ Mrs T - probably! But I figure at the point in the night when my feet are killing me I would rather have my dress a little long than suffer!

I love strappy wedges the only bad thing about them is that after wearing them for a while they do begin to hurt.

Maybe you can wear those and if they are very uncomfortable then you can change into sandals.

I'm wearing wedges but looking for a flat shoe for afterwards. I hate wearing heels of any kind.

Yea I am leaning towards that idea, but I am concerned my dress will then be really long and annoying, especially if I am trying to dance. Meeting with my dressmaker tomorrow so will ask her Smiley smile

I am wearing Toms wedges, haven't decided on a color yet though. Maybe check those out! There are two major styles of wedges and I find that they're super comfortable. I like the peep toe ones better than the strappy. If you're totally set on strappy though, I love my Michael Kors wedges as well. I have these ones from last year but in nude suede. The platform on the front makes a huge difference in comparison to the picture you have, I feel, because your foot isn't so arched:

I'm wearing Tom's wedges too! I'm actually going to be painting the date and other things on mine. Sort of the like the picture I have attached.

I just ordered these from zappos and am waiting for them to come. I've been on the longest shoe hunt ever. I want to wear wedges because I never wear heels and need 4 inch ones for my dress. All the heels I've tried on so far, I can't do. So we'll see if these work out.

I am going to be on grass then concrete and am wearing these wedgesSmiley smile They are taller than I'd normally feel comfortable in on grass, but we're going to go for it! They're actually really comfortable since they're platforms. I got them on amazon...first time I've ever ordered shoes online

I decided to go with wedges, wedding on grass and fh is a foot taller then me. I have been on the hunt for something but almost every pair I find it's crazy high and I can't stand that style

I love wedges! They are so comfortable. FH is the same height as I am, so I'm wearing flats for the wedding & reception. To answer the question someone posted earlier, I guess you just have to hike the hem of your dress up if you switch to flip flops for the reception. I plan on dancing ALL A LOT so I'm glad I'll be wearing flats the entire time. Smiley smile)

I'm in the same boat. Not sure what style would look good and be moderately comfortable, and am worried the dress will cause me to trip if I change to flats.

is it possible to tape your toe? Depending on the style of shoe it probably won't be very obvious but may open up some options.
