We did a minimony on our original date (May 30, 2020) and postponed our wedding and reception to next year (June 12, 2021). The minimony was a bit of a disappointment, so I'm looking forward to having a redo. I LOVE that we got married, but the entire event was so stressful and didn't feel like a celebration with all of the Covid-19 restrictions.

Every couple is going to be different and the current situation is really awful so there isn't really any great choice to be made. Do what feels right for you and try as much as possible not to worry too much about what others think.

We postponed. Original date was August 29th. I’m sad but also glad. You have to take into consideration the safety of your guests and what you want your wedding to look like. You may be fine with having it- it’s what you end up deciding what is right for your family. I got a call on Saturday that my dress came in and I have to go pick it up since they aren’t open still - Which means I don’t even have the option for alterations which would have been scheduled now. I now also have to figure out how to store it. So it looks like if we do decide to get married tjud year still I won’t have my dress ready. Tough decisions.

I know it’s so tough! Which dates are you now considering? I go back and forth between later this year or next year.

We found a date that all our vendors were available. We didn’t even consider later this year. We picked June of next year. We wanted to be out of springtime (for both virus and weather related reasons) but less than a year from original date. I don’t think things will be 100% perfect by then, but that’s what we are going with.

I postponed from July to next May. We won't be getting legally married in July in a smaller ceremony. I am not sure if 2021 will be any better, but I think we will have a lot more information and we can make adjustments to that event if needed.

I postponed from July 11 this year to July 10 2021. We're eloping on our original date and having the reception next year. August may be okay but we chose to give ourselves a wide span of time in hopes of a vaccine

We were going to get married on a Saturday, July 4th. Because of covid we decided to postpone until next July 4th. I'm super bummed that it's a Sunday next year but the date is really important to us. Oh well.

Our original date is 10/10/2020. I'm currently in talks with our vendors about postponing until 10/9/2021. I know October is a long way away, but my family lives 1400 miles away and my dad and sister are both high risk for COVID-19. I'm super bummed to be waiting another year...I especially because it took a while for my FH to propose, an I want to start a family soon. I feel like October of next year is a pretty safe bet that we will have a vaccine by then. And I really wanted a fall wedding.

It sucks. It's a tough decision. Do what is right for you and your family and guests.
