Who gets a welcome bag?

Bri, on January 5, 2020 at 7:54 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 10
My wedding is at an inn that accommodates about 30 people. But, mostly everyone coming to the wedding is travelling at least 1 hour and will be getting an hotel room or an airbnb. Should everyone getting a hotel room get a welcome bag or just those staying on site? Does anyone have any experience with welcome bags for guests staying in an airbnb?

Not required but it is a nice touch. I would pinterest ideas but maybe like edible stuff, some small bags of coffee or toiletries or something. Can't go wrong with small bottles of alcohol. Smiley winking

I am only doing welcome bags for those staying at the hotel. I don't know how you would arrange to get welcome bags to those staying off site and it seems like it would be a big headache when you have so many other things going on!

We did welcome bags for everyone and handed them out at our welcome party.

I’m only doing it for those staying at the hotel: inside it’s going to be:
Advil, water bottles (1 for each person in the room) some snacks, a “who To call” for day of, and an Uber card to get there and back from the hotel (not doing a shuttle) and a thank you card from my Fh and I

If you’re doing welcome bags for some out of town guests, you should do it for all of them.

I would only do the ones staying on site in the inn. I would just have 1 bag placed on each bed.

The only people that received welcome bags for us, were the ones in our main blocked hotel (40 rooms).
