A wise woman once told me "the best way to ensure your marriage will be successful is to keep people out of it". And while I agree with that statement, sometimes things happen and you just need to vent. At times you'll need someone else's advice or even a shoulder to lean on that is not your partners. Whether times are good or bad I've always sought out God and my best friend when I need someone other than my husband to talk to.

I journal a lot, so that is usually the first place I turn, but when I need an ear or shoulder I turn to my best friend. We’ve been friends over 20 years now so we’ve seen each other through a lot and I trust her completely.

I am Hispanic and we actually just asked a couple to be the madrina and padrino of our wedding. They have been married for 25 years and will be our go to source for marital issues/advice ect. I have Known them for years and they love my fh as well.

Journal also while I don’t currently have a pet we are getting a dog after the wedding. I grew up with pets always talked to them about everything.

The studies that show how much they help kids with disabilities is amazing.
my theory is the pet can just listen they don’t ask the kid to repeat themself or other questions. We have to ask those so we can help.

My bridesmaids aha. I feel like you totally need to vent and have things in another perspective or advice from others. It's not like you don't talk to your husband or spouse at all either but sometimes you just need to vent!
