Who calls who

Megan, on January 3, 2020 at 3:43 AM Posted in Planning 0 12
My wedding is only 2 months away and I’m so stressed. I booked an “all inclusive” venue, that includes cocktail hour dinner and the cake. I still haven’t gotten a call from them to pick out ANYTHING. I’m so stressed was I supposed to call them? Or am I worrying over nothing? I feel like this wedding is falling apart right in front of me and i almost want to cry. I just want to be married

I would definitely make a call or go in person to speak with them. I have kept in contact with my day of coordinator for my venue ( catering included) with set meeting dates. But I initiated that. I would say you need something set up asap. Don't stress until you need to! take a breath, it will be okay!

You should probably call them to schedule tastings.

I would for sure call. Did they give you a contract to sign? I’d look that over too just to be a little bit more familiar with the details

I have an all inclusive venue and I had to schedule everything with the vendors they work with.

I am using the catering at my venue and they don’t have me make meal choices until 30 days out. Chances are, everything is fine. However, I would definitely give them a call & schedule a time to meet with them and make choices; if nothing else, just to put your mind to ease.

Definitely call them and ask for a timeline. Most venues expect a final headcount and meal selections 30-60 days out so you need to know what information to give them.

I would give them a call just for your peace of mind! My venue is all inclusive and we are not having a meeting with the day of coordinator until the wedding week. However we have already done our tasting and met with the venue to go over the basics of what we need to know as the wedding gets closer.

I would give them a call. Our all-inclusive venue was upfront with us and said not to worry about anything, we will keep you on schedule with everything. We had to schedule our own cake tasting with the vendor that they work with back in July. But, not that we are about 8 weeks out, they contacted us. In 3 weeks, we will go to pick out our decorations and flowers and figure out whats allowed to bring in and what they do not allow. In 5 weeks we will have to send the DJ our song list for all things happening during the ceremony and reception. In 7 wee, literally the week before the wedding we have our menu tasting. So, I would definitely first check your contract because all of the things I listed above was in out contract and was stated during our initial meeting. If you do not see any of this in your contract, I would call them.

I would call them. When my FH and I booked our venue, the venue coordinator told us around what times she would be in contact with us, b/c we did book far out from our wedding. I contacted her multiple times between the times she said she would contact us and she got back to me with no issues. She did also contact me when she said she would as well. If you're that stressed about it, I'd say 100% call them. It will ease your mind once they get back to you.

Our venue is semi-inclusive (table, linens, venue, catering, alcohol, bartending, DJ) and they gave us a schedule when we signed the contract that outlined how far out we needed to have meetings and make selections for everything.
