White vs. Ivory veil?

Nicole, on May 9, 2019 at 6:42 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 4
My wedding dress is off white and the veil I'm looking at purchasing only comes in white or ivory. Which color would be closest to off white? I don't want the dress to look dirty with a white veil but I'm nervous the ivory veil would be to yellow. Anyone advice would be greatly appreciated!

My dress is off white and i went with ivory, because it most closely matches my dress. It isn't too yellow, it's very subtle

It is a misconception that ivory next to white looks dirty. It just looks ivory. In fact, "bridal" ivory is more close to "white" like the white we see in other clothing. It is just a softer hue and warms most people's skin tones versus true white which is usually too harsh for people to wear well, especially in photos with bright lights such as wedding photography. Veils are such sheer fabrics that the color difference will be very negligible. I would suggest getting the ivory veil. Here is a picture of my ivory dress and veil - as you can see they look more like a soft "white."
