White Tux for the Groom

Geneva, on August 26, 2015 at 9:36 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12

Okay so my loving FH wants us both to wear white for our wedding. This is a little nerve wracking cause I (bride) have always been to weddings where only the bride wears white. SO my question is can a bride and groom wear White on thier wedding day? Our day is set for Dec 21st 2016, our colors are Navy Blue and Silver. Help please...

I have been to a wedding where the groom wore all white. Personally, I'm not a fan as I prefer a classic black tux.

I've been to a wedding where the groom wore all white as well. It's not my or FHs taste, but there is no reason your FH can't wear all white if that's what he wants to do.

Since the color of his tux won't affect a guest's experience, I don't think anyone would (or should, cuz who cares?) have an issue with it if that's what he wants!

My brother wore white tux and he looked rather handsome in it ! Smiley smile I don't think it's an issue though. It's a day for the both of you!

White tie ( a white tux) is considered more formal than black.

However.. one problem. If you both wear white, and the lighting isn't ideal, your photos may make it hard to differentiate where his tux ends and your dress starts.

White tie doesn't mean a white jacket, it means literally a white tie, and a jacket with tails: http://tinyurl.com/qaextu4

Personally, I think white jackets tend to make men look like waiters, but if your FH likes it, go for it!

The James Bond white dinner jacket style (w/ black pants) can be really sharp looking, but I am not a fan of the all-white suit.

I am ok with the white jacket, black pants look but I feel like the whole white tux looks dated. My uncle wore one to his wedding 20 years ago.
