White strips?

Courtney, on March 7, 2020 at 6:53 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 15
Does anyone have experience with these? I've never used them, but thought of using them before the wedding. We are getting married in 41 days.... should I start using them now? Thank you!!

Yes and yes. They work surprisingly well. I recommend Crest Whitestrips. Get FH to use them too so you have beautiful matching smiles. 😉

I've been reading reviews where people are saying they make their teeth extra sensitive and hurt.... how often should you use them? And how long do you keep them on?

I do it about twice per year and don’t have any issues. I wear them on the drive to work bc it’s 30-45 minutes depending on traffic, which is perfect. If I forget, I do it at night. You can do twice per day if you want. But I’ve only ever done once per day.

Okay do you do them for consistent days or do you skip days in between?

I bought mine through the dentist. He told me to try, but don’t over use as I have a crown near front that won’t whiten. It can cause sensitivity but he gave me toothpaste to help. I wasn’t happy with my teeth in the engagement photos. I’m trying it tomorrow night.

The regular crest white strips make my teeth super sensitive, but they do have a sensitive kind that works wonders for me. I’d recommend that if you have sensitive teeth like me! They are called Crest 3D Whitestrips Vivid Gentle

Just a type of whitening strip but made with natural ingredients and much safer for you. I get mine at Whole Foods but they have them online

I've used them in the past and want to use them for our wedding.

Some people do have teeth sensitivity issues. The do make a "sensitive" version and various teeth whitening products use different ingredients. If you are prone to sensitive teeth then I would err on the side of using a specialty product designed for sensitive teeth or a natural product with fewer harsh chemical ingredients.

They usually come in a pack with 14 days of applications. You use it once a day for 14 days in a row. Just read the package instructions. I would absolutely not use them for more than what is supplied in the package without taking a break in between. I'm planning to get one pack to split between my FH and I, so we will each try them for 7 days then if we notice an improvement in whiteness and have no sensitivity issues, I'll get us each a set to start 2-3 weeks prior to the wedding, so we have white teeth at the right time.

They work very nicely if your teeth need a perk up and are relatively white.
You also need to refrain from red wine, coffe, tea, dark soda, soy sauce, red pasta sauce, smoking while using to get full effect- and for week after you stop.

ZOOM whitening is great if you can afford to do it.
