White or colored linens?

Quietlotus, on September 9, 2020 at 2:33 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 14

Did you use white or colored linens? We have yet to settle on "colors" for our wedding. We aren't having a wedding party and the date is in 2022, so we have plenty of time to plan. I do know that we'll be going with autumn tones, possibly incorporating a navy blue with the usual warm colors. White linens seem the most versatile, but I'm worried that it will look boring. I've included a couple of images of the reception venue when decorated for other weddings. I'm not a huge fan of either look, but I think the space has a ton of potential!

Our lines were black with a white overlay. I had wanted all black, but my husband thought it would look like a funeral.

I hate white linens. Our wedding is next month at an old Apple orchard. The reception will be in a barn and we will incorporate a lot of fall colors and decorations along with a rustic theme. I really liked the dark beige table cloths. I also took cheesecloth and dyed it a dark wine color and will use it as table runners.White or colored linens? 3

I love white linens. They’re classic and versatile ! You can jazz them up with your centerpieces, runners, and place settings.

White is pretty and works if you dont want to spend extra money on linens. Just have pretty centerpieces and rent chargers.

The venues we looked at require us to rent linens anyway, and it doesn't cost that much more to get colored linens.

We're getting married this December. Our colors are white, silver, icy blue and royal blue. To incorporate the blue into our winter wonderland theme for the reception, our linens were a great way to do that. Don't be afraid to play with the colors; and ask your linen vendor for a consultation so you can see your colors in person. I think we tend to play it safe and naturally choose white, but you really can have fun with it to truly make your tablescape your own.

Hmmmmm, beautiful venue but the tables definitely need color. Since it’s fall maybe off white tablecloths with a wider colored table runner with matching napkins. How the napkins are laid can add quite a pop of color to the tables.

I absolutely love this tablecloth! Where did you buy yours? I'm having trouble finding anything between champagne and chocolate. I bet the color combination of taupe and wine is gorgeous! I can't wait to see pictures if you share some.

This is similar to what we were thinking (white tablecloth and green garland,) but our dishes are also white and I'm beginning to think it will all blend together!

We were thinking of doing a garland of greenery with candles down the tables with white tablecloths and burnt orange napkins. I don't know if that will be enough to break up all of the white though?

Ours Will Be White With Burgundy Napkins And Gold Chargers-Along With Our Burgundy/Blush Flowers Wreath With Hurricane Candles Inside. I Think White Makes The Colors Pop More.

We did ivory tablecloths with navy napkins and gold flatware. I liked having the ivory tablecloth because it really made the napkins and flatware pop.

We used colored, but I wish I would've used a white or light color instead. They just seem so much more elegant to me.
