White folding chairs or chair covers

I'm not a fan of chair covers. If the white folding chairs are good quality and in good condition, you can use those on their own.

I've never seen a chair cover I like. If we're talking about beaten up chairs loaned to the couple by the local high school, then yes, cover them. However, it they are the typical white chairs, then that's what they are - chairs. Nobody will be shocked or offended by a chair. In fact, their eyes will be drawn to the front of the area -- the place with flowers, a gazebo, or an arbor. Chairs are meant for butts -- nothing more. When they're clean, unmarred, all the same color, and lined up, they look, well...like chairs. Don't waste your money on chair covers unless there's really something that needs to be covered.

As someone who sells flowers for a living, do you know what I would make if I added what is essentially a small bouquet to the back of every covered and sashed chair (using the photos posted by aec2003, I'd charge at least $20/chair, and a lazy count shows me that there are probably 15 chairs in that photo -- only a portion of what's really there). Pinterest....

Honestly, the majority of photos will be taken with people in the chairs. And since the chairs are all the same and white, they will blend into the background. Don't pay extra for something only you notice. Just my opinion, but I also really don't like chair covers.

Those white folder chairs are fine. Unless the chair covers are somehow cheaper...folding chairs.

@tucker you aren't the only one! I personally hate the look of covers. I think the plain folding chair is perfectly acceptable!

Sorry for the confusion.. it is the same price to either get white folding chairs or to have the spandex chair covers (on tan/gray chairs that are mismatched & will be free). I think the chair covers could end up being cheaper (more upfront, but we can resell them & make some back) whereas if we went the white folding chairs, we can't resell anything.

I'm stressed out about chairs/covers, too! I think it really depends on what kind of venue it is, and how fancy everything else is. We're going with plastic Samsonite chairs over wooden because they're more comfortable, but the look bothers me, and I know it would bother me in all the pictures. I just don't want to put so much effort into everything, only to have one element be completely out of place. I don't love the look of the covers, in general, but the Spandex ones are good! I'll definitely look into those. We have to pay for ours, though, which sucks.
