I’m not familiar with the songs but do want to say as a cat lover that I love this idea

I love that you’re doing this- I’m considering doing a cat toss as well! It seems like a sweet way to incorporate the catching element people seem to expect at weddings without the weirdness of the bouquet or garter toss. Plus everyone can be involved!

Is this a new idea that people are catching on to? Or has the idea been around?

I found the idea online somewhere, so it's not super new.

Rosie and Brittany, thanks for the suggestions. I'm going to go with a Queen song though because one of my cats is named for Freddie Mercury. I'm a huge Queen fan, so everyone at the wedding will get the connection.
