Which shoes?

Which shoes? 1

Or are none of these right? Here's my dress. My jewelry will be to rose gold with clear stones. The veil they put on me was trimmed in rhinestones. I don't know how to pull this all together. I am considering whether a thin belt is better or a distraction from the lace on the dress.

Oh my goodness I love your dress!!! 😍 Would you mind telling me what designer/style? You are so beautiful.

I don't personally feel that any of those shoes really accentuate the dress, but between those I'd choose the rightmost as well. Smiley smile

What shoes would you put with it? ... Nothing seems to be 'just right.'

My dress is EddyK 1266. https://eddyk.com/wedding-dresses/wedding-dress-ek1266/

I wonder if these are any better? I was sort of hoping for a somewhat French vibe... The lace on my dress is just perfection and I don't think that I want more on my shoes or veil... I might just go with a plain veil...

I do! I think a little bling in the shoes would be really nice. Smiley smile

Any of those three shoe options would be fine. I'd probably go with the middle or right if you are doing rose gold jewelry, instead of a silver shoe, but none of those would look bad at all. It's really what you want it to be!

In your post you sound like you are stressed out. I think you are putting WAY too much pressure on yourself. Your dress is gorgeous, the shoes aren't going to be super visible, and any of those three options would look totally fine. Just take a deep breath! It will all come together.

I am stressed; I think that I am at decision overload.

But, I am also planning this wedding without any of my family in the same state. And I don't want to burden my bridal party (only 1 bridesmaid is in state). Also, no one has seen my dress but you guys on here - not even my mom - and FH definitely can't see it. So, I've been making decisions with no one to run options past (other than FH). And, my style is really simple - I generally don't wear makeup (beyond lip gloss) and I rarely wear jewelry; my cat eye sucks (lol!). I'm not opposed to any of those, but I never got into things like that - so I don't feel confident.

    Thank you for noticing!

I hear you. I moved away from my childhood home ten years ago, so my family and best friend live in a different state (my bestie is my MOH and only bridesmaid, as the other two girls I would have included can't even attend my wedding). I've done every single "bridal" thing without them, and the only people who have seen my dress in person are a couple of co-workers. I'm always trying to get advice from my best friend over the phone but its really hard to try to get advice on things like shoe height and dress fit when she can't see things in person. My mom doesn't even have a cell phone and only checks email once a week so trying to get feedback on things from her is super frustrating. My FH is amazing and super involved with planning so wedding stuff in general is going well but the bridal stuff feels very lonely and isolating. I'm also a low maintenance gal who doesn't wear makeup or get fancy all that often so its really easy to feel overwhelmed with gowns, accessories, hair, makeup, etc.

Definitely take a deep breath and try not to stress so much about the little details. They'll come together and few will notice them anyway. You have a gorgeous dress (that people will notice) and your FH is going to think you look stunning whether or not you wear a belt and regardless of what sort of shoes you have on. The wedding is only one day of the rest of your lives together. Hang in there and try not to be so hard on yourself!

Memories of my first wedding add to my distress. Per my inlaws it was an abomination - it started late because of me. The ice storm and road closings didn't matter. That they yelled at my grandmother (who was recovering from a stroke) in the vestibule of the church - per the priest - didn't matter. They treated me horribly and said that had the wedding started on time and been perfect that maybe things wouldn't have been so hard for them at the beginning of that marriage. They never asked how I felt. The priest told me later - that he didn't want to marry us and had he had more experience then he wouldn't have - and he certainly wouldn't now. My FH is amazing and I was single for nearly a decade in between - but the memories come back so very fast. And I'm often surprised how loud their voices can be in my mind... baggage is very tough to set aside.

The last one on the right looks more wedding like to me. And I think a small belt will be ok with the dress and not distract.

I am so sorry that you have been here too. It is really lonely - like you I have an amazing FH who is definitely involved in our plans. But the bridal stuff is where it hits - and the phone doesn't do everything justice. It's just send photos and I'll weigh in - if I am not too busy, or we don't get distracted, or... They love us but they have their own lives, and they should. If you ever need someone, please don't hesitate to message me. I get it - I promise I do. Smiley heart I hope your wedding plans are going wonderfully!!! Smiley heart

I like the shoes all the way to the right as well. To be honest, they will not be visible too often. So don’t stress too much over the shoes.

I also don’t think you need a belt. I like your dress the way it is. No need to break up the lace.
You’ll be a beautiful bride. And you’re on to a wholly different marriage. Plus you’re ten years wiser. Everything will come together just fine.

The one on the left would be in the color Palatino - it's kind of a metallic beige. Sorry about that!

I love the last one! But I am biased because I bought very similar ones lol. I do thunk they would go great with your dress, veil and jewelry though
