Which Season

Hannah, on August 29, 2025 at 11:43 AM Posted in Planning 2 1

My fiancé and I got engaged in September of '21 but we are torn between a fall or winter wedding. We're from Corning, NY and have been trying to do pros and cons of either season. Any advice, ladies?

The biggest downfall to winter would be possible weather especially if you'd want an outdoor wedding or if you have a lot of guests traveling to your wedding. However because winter is usually off season you the venue and vendors might be cheaper during that time of year. When it comes to fall it would be beautiful for outdoor photos with the leaves changing colors in the background. Now fall is an extremely popular time of year to get married so things might be booked well in advance and even more expensive. Travel would be easier on guests though as you wouldn't have to worry about snow or ice.
