Which is more cost efficient...dessert table or multiple cakes?

Amber, on August 17, 2018 at 9:06 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 3
Hello everyone,
I'm wondering what would be least expensive for 125 guests. We (I) have already went over budget for my wedding with having to purchase a 2nd dress due to having a baby and not being able to fit into my original dress so I'm trying to save on things I have not already purchased. I would love to have one beautiful cake that would feed all our guests...but i have ran into limited options as far as availability. So my other option would be to do a dessert table. I need feedback on which I should do....please help!

Multiple single tier cakes would probably be cheaper. Individual desserts are usually pretty expensive. You could get the single tiers at a local grocery or Sam's in different flavors at reasonable prices.

Hi Amber! I agree, assorted cakes will probably be cheaper and will definitely feed all of your guests. A cake table will be really pretty, too. Smiley heart An idea: If you're hoping to have more variety, I am not sure if you are open to doing pies along with cakes? Smiley smile Just a thought, for if you're looking for more (cost effective) options on your cake/dessert table.

I agree with Going to the chapel, local grocery stores or bakeries will have great options for you in regards to different flavors at good prices. Smiley heart

Purchase a large sheet cake from a local bakery or maybe even a Costco
