Which dress? 1 or 2?

Bride2020, on August 26, 2019 at 11:02 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 17
Hey ladies! So I posted a bit ago about finding my dress. I really do love it (already bought it, $450)! It’s not at all what I thought I would go for, but it’s great! Today on Facebook marketplace, this other dress came up that is pretty much exactly the dress I thought I would want & have been pinning on pinterest and dreaming of (didn’t see anything like it in stores) and it’s pretty inexpensive, never worn, my size, nearby pick up... I do love my other dress! I haven’t been searching for another one or anything, this just popped up! But this one is so pretty too! Even if I bought this other dress (it’s up for $150) I’d still be below the budget I set for my dress after buying both, a friend suggested I just buy it and decide what to do later, but I don’t want to be irresponsible, that’s money that can go into the wedding somewhere else... I wish I was just content! What would you do? Which dress do you like better?

I like the first one, the beaded one, much better. I'm assuming that's you in it? It looks AMAZING on you!

Wow I really love both. But I do prefer the second one because there's something very fairytale about it. However they're very very similar

Aw, thanks! Yes, that's me! I am wondering if I'm just having FOMO (fear of more options, lol), all of my bridesmaids so far agree with you, but I wanted some unbiased opinions incase they're just trying to save me from the hassle of re-opening up dress shopping, which I would totally understand

Yes, they're definitely super similar, one of my bridesmaids mentioned it might not be worth it due to that. I think that's one of the reasons I feel so silly about it all! I left the other dress at the shop and was planning on picking it up closer to the wedding, I thinnnk I'll be getting over there this week to grab it and see if that spark is still there!

Definitely dress 2!!! It’s uniquely different with great design touches. While dress 1 looks like too many other dresses out there.

I would definitely try your dress on and see how you feel in it before making a decision. I didnt love my original dress after a while and ultimately decided to buy another one. It did put me a tad over budget just on the dress piece but I'm under budget elsewhere so it evened up. I am so giddy about my dress and really love it so it was worth it to me. You might fall in love with your original dress all over again though!

Ohh they're both gorgeous! Have you tried on the second one? I personally prefer the second, I just LOVE the lace on the bodice. The first one is also gorgeous though!! I would also go back and try on the first dress.

I think #1 looks incredible on you but I totally get why #2 is your dream dress. I know you don't want to waste the money, but you could resell the one you decide not to wear. It really is up to you but it seems like a great buy.

I love them both. I would buy the 2nd one and keep both to decide later, like your friend suggested. $150 is a steal. You can always sell them both afterwards.

Since you can i say buy both. You might hate the other one when it's on but you will wonder about it if you dont try it out.

I actually like the first one better! I think the second one I don't love how you can see stripes of the different colored fabric. The shape is beautiful though.

Maybe you could ask the person selling the one if you could try it on? I think that feeling you have when having it on is really what you should go on. It could be everything you dreamed of in pictures, but you not like it on... or it could make you feel the opposite!

I love both!! You can always do one for the ceremony and one for the reception!
