Where will your engagement ring be during the ceremony?

Don't get caught unprepared! There are a few things many couples forget to consider when planning their ceremony, and we want to help make sure they don't slip past you!

If you wear an engagement ring, where will it be during the ceremony?

Will you want your finger bare when your wedding ring goes on?Where will your engagement ring be during the ceremony? 1

The next question is about keeping you looking picture perfect throughout the ceremony.

It'll be on my hand. I can switch the order of the rings after the ceremony.

I absolutely forgot to take my engagement ring off when I got married the first time many years ago. As I was walking down the aisle I remembered and suddenly started fumbling trying to take it off and put it on my pinky finger on the other hand. Definitely won't be able to forget this time! Hindsight, it probably wouldn't have been a big deal but I was caught up in the moment and forgot. This time, the plan is for my engagement ring to be in the wooden box with my wedding ring already

Mine will be on my right ring finger. My engagement ring is a sapphire so its going to be my something blue.

On my finger like usual. It doesn't fit any of my other fingers properly so I will just switch the order after the ceremony.

Most likely my right hand and I’ll move it to my left hand after we exchange rings.

I was going to put mine on my right hand, but it doesn't fit! So I'm just going to keep it on my left hand and have him slide the band on, and I'll switch them after the ceremony is over Smiley smile

I'm actually just going to have my mom hold it. I was just going to keep it at home but I might want it in pictures.

Probably on my right hand unless it doesn't fit right. Then I will just keep it on my left hand and switch the order after the ceremony.

In the ring box with my wedding band (the BM is going to hold on to it).

Our officiant actually does a lovely engagement ring exchange during the ceremony. After the bands have been exchanged she then asks the best man to give FH the e-ring, she talks about how the e-ring symbolizes a commitment/promise to one another and that promise has now been fulfilled. She also explains that each time we look at the e-ring it should be a reminder of the love we felt at that time. I don't have the wording in front of me but, it is quite beautiful. FH will then place the e-ring on my finger just like the wedding band. I think it will be unique and a nice way to incorporate the e-ring.

On my right hand and then after the ceremony it will be switched. (Wedding band should be worn closest to your heart Smiley heart)

With my band, I got a cradle and I feel it will be weird to slide that on my finger so I'll have to be without my engagement ring for a few hours while it sits in a box with my wedding band.

It will be on my regular finger. It’s the only one that it fits nicely on. I’m probably going to wear my wedding band on the outside anyway (gasp!) ....id like the more expensive one to stay closer to me.

I think I'm going to wear my engagement ring on my right hand during the ceremony, and then switch it back after the ceremony.

Same as PP's have stated, it will be on my other hand and I will transfer after the ceremony.

My engagement ring was on my right hand. After the ceremony I placed it above my wedding band

Yupp! I plan to have my engagement ring off from the night before so there won't be any indents in my finger.

Mine will be with my wedding ring, as they fit together and my wedding ring looks bizzare by itself! FH will put both on together. This is what they look like together

I imagine it will be on its normal finger, and FH will just add the wedding band on top of that. I'll be wearing my grandmom's engagement ring on my right hand like I always do.

I had one of my bridesmaids hold on to my engagement ring for the ceremony!

It was super easy, just took it off right before the processional and took it back from her right after the recessional!
