Where to start?!

Congratulations!!! Once we started planning, the first thing we did was think about possible dates for the wedding. The next thing we did was look an venues online and asked for pricing. Then we toured a couple, and found ours and fell in love, so we booked it.

Enjoy the time. It'll all go fast - make sure you book the majors (venue, photographer) first off. Then everything kind of falls into place from there.

Congratulations! Definitely budget first then venue.

The first thing we did was go venue hunting. We knew wanted the date 10/10/20 and had to lock it down quickly.

Congratulations....I started touring venues and then came up with a budget. There's no way to know how to budget if you dont know pricing for is going to take up the biggest chunk.

#1 is budget. Don't be shy to ask how much money your friends spent on their weddings that you attended to get a better idea of how far your money will go.

Enjoy the process because it will be over before you know it. Planning a wedding is an emotional roller coaster and a huge mix of excitement and stress. Try to focus on the excitement. Don’t let the stress get to you. Always remember why you’re doing this... to marry the love of your life. Every other aspect of the wedding is just a bonus. Remember weddings can bring out the best and the worst of people sometimes (lol) and that you are only responsible for YOUR OWN behavior. Focus on what really matters... don’t let yourself stress about flowers and centerpieces and things that just won’t matter years down the line. Don’t let yourself stress about things you can’t control (ie the weather, other people’s behavior, etc) All you need to have a wonderful wedding is your spouse, the people you love, an officiant (obviously lol), good food, good drinks, and a nice place to host it. And always remember... things WILL go wrong. Throughout the planning process, and on the day itself. But in hindsight the things that go wrong are things that end up as funny stories.
