Where to put the number? Rsvp question

Meet_The_Clarks, on February 10, 2018 at 2:27 PM Posted in Planning 0 12
I’m in the process of getting our invites ready. I know I have time, but I’m trying to knock out this big task. I have all the envelopes typed with addresses and stamped with our return address. I’m numbering the rsvp cards so I know what card belongs to whomever in case guests forget to write their names on the card. My question: would it look better to put it on the front or the back of my card? I was thinking the back would be better on the top left or right in the white space. Thoughts?

I plan to mark the top right corner on the back. The number is for our use, not information for the guests, so I see no reason to include it on the right side and risk confusing anyone.

We used inner envelopes on our invitations and addressed them to "So-and-so and guest," if they received a plus one.
It may be too late for this, but I'd also recommend saying "Please initial by your choice of meal" because a lot of our guests were confused as to how to indicate who wanted which entree.

Thanks but that wasn’t my question. They can indicate how many of each and we just need to give the venue a headcount of each meal. They will place their order at the tables when servers come around. My question was about where to put the number for the rsvp card identifying which guest it belongs to

I think the back would be better - having it where people are putting info could potentially confuse them.

I bought little tiny number stickers off Amazon and put mine on the back bottom left corner.

    ?format=1500w

Those are super cute! I’m just going to number them by hand and then hopefully be done with this project lol. So much to do and I feel like I’m on crunch time

I've read other threads where the couple used invisible ink to do this. I'm thinking of doing something like that but either way I'll number them on the back.

I heard that too. Was gonna do that but opted to just write the numbers myself. I started it and it doesn’t look bad. People won’t be looking at the back and if they do, it’s ok. It’s helpibg me ya know? Lol

I close my invites up. I was on the last one when I realized I forgot to do something. I did remember to add that each invitation. Is for two guest. Because my friend had a wedding and people replied back 8 guest she had to make a awkward call saying the invite is for only two people.
