Where to meet the officiant?

I have contacted an officiant via Wedding wire..and now I have to set a date to meet him
It may be silly question but is it okay to let him come home? Or maybe meet him in a public place?
Any thoughts?

Maybe over a cup of coffee in a local Starbucks? I'm very awkward about people coming to the home that I don't know, regardless if they are "certified and verified". lol.

I met mine at a coffee shop. I know they are probably fine but it's still weird to have people in my home that I haven't met yet. The only awkward part is you have to figure out who each other are.

Lol thanks both for feedback.. Yes my fiance thinks same way.. he does not like people that he does not know.lol.. then I'll figure I will set meeting in a coffee shop..

If I didn’t know our officiant I would definitely had met at a Starbucks or a local coffee place

I would just do Starbucks because I wouldn't want to have to clean my house for this. lol.

Coffee Shop or local restaurant may be a good idea. Or depending on the weather and how long the meeting is, perhaps a park or parking lot.
