Where to honeymoon during hurricane season?!

With our wedding being September 8th and us wanting to leave for our honeymoon around the 10th of September - we feel limited as to where we can book a trip in the Caribbean considering hurricane season is June 1- December 1. And the worst time is August and September. I'm curious if this is a...

With our wedding being September 8th and us wanting to leave for our honeymoon around the 10th of September - we feel limited as to where we can book a trip in the Caribbean considering hurricane season is June 1- December 1. And the worst time is August and September.

I'm curious if this is a concern to any of you or are you still booking whenever regardless of hurricane season?

    We were looking at Cozumel for ours, and my FH talked me out of it because we would be there the last week of Sept and he doesn't want to take the chance we wouldn't be able to go, travel insurance or not. I argued for a while, but then there was a bad storm this year that exact time and I gave in. Currently looking for other places, if possible, tropical Smiley smile
