Where to Get Ready?

Happy Saturday! Where are you ladies getting ready the morning of your wedding? I was first considering the standard hotel but now I'm thinking of renting a large house where my BMs and I will get ready (close family members will also likely stay in this house). Groom will get ready at a separate location and then we'll meet somewhere for "first look" photos. If the house I get is picturesque enough, we may even do photos there. Is this too much. Should we just stick to everyone getting ready in a hotel? We will book a hotel suite for our wedding night.

My venue doesn't offer a place to get ready so the ladies are getting ready at my house (20 minutes from the venue) and the boys are getting ready in a hotel suite down the road from the venue

We're getting ready at the hotel our guests are staying at. I'm booking the suite for 2 nights and FH and I are staying there the night before and having breakfast and then he'll leave to get ready with the groomsmen.

I rented a Bridal studio for the morning where they have people to do hair and makeup there and it's perfect for pictures too. I'm super excited and I would recommend renting somewhere that has enough room for everyone you want there and somewhere that will be comfortable for you.

Everyone wanted us to get a hotel room, but I really just wanted to do it at home.

I don't know why, but it bothers me that everyone in our lives thought a hotel room is somehow more special and to par with the occassion than just our house.

A hotel, unfortunately. We live 15 mins from the venue so I was hoping to get ready in the comfort of my own home but FH reminded me that we are moving the week after the wedding and are planning to sell our couch and dining room table set before the move so we won't really have anywhere for people to sit.

We got an Air B and B that's close to the venue! It sleeps 14 and I have family and best friends who are coming in from out of town. It was about 1400 but between everyone paying, it'll end up being free for me. It's a win win! And they can stay there the night of the wedding too!
