My ceremony and reception will be in my back yard. I had planned all along on the bridal party getting ready in the house. As we start thinking more and more about details, I suddenly realized that 2 of my 3 bridesmaids, AND my MUA, are all allergic to cats. So is the best man. I have 6 cats.

There are two rooms in my house that are "cat free", but since we're looking at a few hours of getting ready, we'll still need to be in and out of the room (heck someone will need to pee!). I don't think any of my BP are so allergic that I need to worry about anaphylaxis, but I don't want anyone worrying about puffy eyes or sneezing.

I didn't budget for transportation or a different location to get ready. My family is OOT, so they will have a hotel room that I suppose we could use, but then the photographer and videographer will also need to travel, and we'll need to figure out transport back to my house.

Any suggestions? Feed everyone Benadryl brownies?

Good to hear OP! Smiley smile hopefully you can find a fairly inexpensive one close by to use and that you can get to the ceremony from fairly easily! Best of luck on your big day, date twin!

Glad you decided on the hotel. I was about to mention since no one else has that even if you think the allergic people can power through it, their eyes and noses will likely be red. Just adding that to sway a bride who is not caring enough to care about the wedding parties' comfort.

@Christina - hotel room sounds like a really good choice. I'm so glad your guests won't be trekking in and out of your home.

Just don't choose a pet hotel!! Smiley winking

@kirackle- If you reread my original post I mentioned that I was worried about puffy eyes or itching. My entire reason for posting this was concern about my wedding party's comfort. But thanks for the insult anyway.
