Where to get a petticoat (or other undergarment that does the same thing) to fill out a ballgown?

Thanks! I've looked at a few hoop skirts but am also wondering if there is something less rigid. A little less volume is totally fine with me.

You could probably just ask your seamstress to sew a layer or two of crinoline into your dress. Less rigid than a hoop skirt but gives you the volume that you want

I got a slip petticoat from Davids when I picked up my dress from alterations and it made a WORLD of difference with the look of my dress! I don't know your budget but they have some good options there!
