Hi Ashley! Welcome to WeddingWire! A great place to look for wedding dresses is at local bridal boutiques! I highly reccomend taking a look at the WeddingWire Vendor Search for Bridal Boutiques in Virginia to find places near you!

I realize you are not interested in David's Bridal, but they are having a great sale right now. They have a few vintage wedding dresses for $200. May be worth the look.

I'm not sure where you are located but I just got mine at Something Old Something New Bridal in Manassas. It was a 2 hour drive for me to get there but it was so worth it! Everything in the store is under $1500.

I went to a place in Occoquan, Labella Bridal and they have so many beautiful dresses. The owner is wonderful. I didn't have an appointment and I didn't think she would see me but she had a quick gap between appointments and saw me try on a few dresses. Most of them were under $1,000. I ended up purchasing my dress at Ava Clara for under $1500 with the veil. Beautiful place to go! I went to David's but really just the quality of their dresses just didn't measure up to the higher end dresses I tried on.

I found mine at urban set bride in churchhill (richmond) it's a very small boutique so you're the only appointment at a time! I also went up to DC to BHLDN (the anthropologie bridal shop) and they have a great selection and are very affordable! They also have great ship times I heard and the appointment was great!

So, I decided my dress was not right for the venue. I went to Tiffany's bridal in the basement section, that is their discontinued section. The dresses there start as low as $50. I found an amazing dress there! They also have a regular section if need be. Lex's was still great as well.
