Where to buy vest and how to set groom apart?

Lisa, on April 7, 2018 at 3:46 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 15

My FH and I both fell in love with this outfit for him and the GM. I found almost everything we need for the outfits, but am struggling to find a vest that I love. Has anyone seem something similar or do you have any ideas where I should be looking? So far I've looked at ASOS, Men's Warehouse, Macy's, JCPenny, and Amazon.

Also, I'd like for my FH to be set apart somehow, but I'm blanking. Any suggestions for this would also be appreciated Smiley smile

I don’t have any suggestions for the vest but I’m following because I love these! Except maybe the pants they’re a little tight for my FH he’s 6’7😂 can you get him a bow tie or maybe a fancier boutonnière to set him apart?

I suggested a bow tie and, unfortunately, he vetoed it, but I love the idea of a fancier boutonniere!!

Try Belks- they have a ton of options and are easy to work with.

Also, are you having groomsmen wear jackets? FH could be the only one with a suit coat added.

    I have this problem too
The men are wearing green camo vests over white dress shirts, blue jeans and boots
Neither the best man or fh wants to wear ties or bow ties...
    They are both very casual
So dress jackets probably wouldnt work either

Don’t know where to find the vest. But my FH is wearing a navy blue suit while the GMs are wearing gray. So he could wear a separate color than the rest of the men.

The GM wore navy ties but my husband wore a tie with a pattern. It doesn’t have to be flowers of course but maybe find him a tie that goes with the GM with a little extra something.

We went to a wedding last fall where the groom did that and it looked great! It was subtle but enough to know that he was the focus

I'd find him a tie with a slight pattern on it and have a slightly different boutonniere

For FH we're doing a different color tie (same pattern) and different flowers

Amazon has tweed vests. You can also find them on UK websites. Search for a tweed waistcoat.

Another option is to check thrift shops.

Perhaps a slightly bigfer bouteneeir? Or give him something like a different colour tie that stanks out slightly or if the groomsmen are in regular ties put the groom in a bow tie (or vice versa) just a few ideas. Perhaps suspenders in the mix might add some sort of distinction?
